A Message from Steven

Hello! My name is Steven Montgomery, and I'm a member of the St. Bonaventure High School Class of 2027 and Troop 128 in Ventura.

For my Eagle Scout service project, I wanted to give something meaningful back to the school that has given me so much. That's why I'm building the Serenity Prayer Garden—a peaceful place where students can pray, reflect, relax, and take a quiet moment during the school day.

Inspired by the beauty of Mary's Grotto, I hope this garden will become a lasting space of faith and peace for generations of Seraphs. I'm leading the fundraising and construction of this project, and I would be honored to have your support.

Every gift, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to creating a place that will serve our school community for years to come.

UPDATE: AUGUST 27, 2026 - We’re Making Progress — and the Momentum Is Building!

I’m excited to share that we have now raised $7,676 in financial contributions toward the Serenity Prayer Garden, along with incredibly generous donations of materials and labor from members of our community.

And the garden is already beginning to take shape! The block walls are in, the Three Rivers Veneer is on site, and we are just waiting for the topper to be delivered and installed. Seeing the project move from an idea to something real has been very exciting.
